Jade's Quebec Caramel and Apple Fritters (Festin Festive)
30 minutes / about 10 fritters
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon fleur de sel
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- ½ cup buttermilk
- ½ cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup finely diced Quebec apples (about 2 apples)
Peel and dice the apples into small cubes.
Mix the dry ingredients.
Add the liquid ingredients, then stir in the apples.
Preheat the fryer to a high temperature.
Using spoons, form small balls of about 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) of batter. Drop them into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown on one side, then flip. Fry until both sides are golden brown.
Drain on paper towels.
Heat the Chocolats Favoris caramel fondue for 20 seconds in the microwave, then pour over the fritters.
