S'mores bars

It will taste like an evening around the camp fire , but in a delicious chocolatey bar. Literally!

Ingredients

BASE

  • 1 cup (250 ml) Dulce de Leche fondue
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) dried marshmallows or store-bought marshmallow

BARS

  • 1 cup (375 ml) instant oats
  • 1 cup (250 ml) chopped Graham cracker cookies
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup (185 ml) mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) honey
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) Dulce de Leche Chocolate Drops

TOPPING

  • 2  tbsp. (30 ml) Dulce de Leche fondue
  • 2 c. tbsp. (10 ml) dried marshmallows

With my cream chocolate, subtle hint of toasted marshmallow, and crunchy Graham cracker pieces, you’ll feel as though you are looking up at the stars and warming up to a cozy, crackling campfire. The only things that are missing are the smell of wood burning, a guitar and the sound of crickets.

Instructions

BASE

  • Cover an 8” (20 cm) square mould with plastic wrap.
  • Mix the fondue with the dried marshmallows. Pour the mix into the mould and set aside.

BARS

  • In a large bowl, mix the instant oats, Graham crackers pieces, salt and mini-marshmallows.
  • In a saucepan, bring the honey to a boil and reduce to medium heat.Bake for about 5 minutes.
  • Pour it into the dry mix and blend well. Let cool.
  • Add chocolate drops and mix again.
  • Pour mixture uniformly into the mould and spread evenly. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
  • Remove it from the mould and cut it into 12 bars.
  • Pour layers of Dulce de Leche fondue on each bar and garnish with dried marshmallows. Serve and enjoy!
