Double Chocolate Skillet Cookie

Who could resist a giant cookie? 


Makes 8 to 10 servings

  • 1 can (215 g) Chocolats Favoris S’mores Fondue (see note)
  • 1 1/2 cups (375 ml) packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) butter, room temperature
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp (10 ml) vanilla extract
  • 2 cups (500 ml) all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp (2 ml) baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp (3 ml) salt
  • 1 1/2 cups (375 ml) Chocolats Favoris Original Dark Chocolate Drops (see note)

  • Preheat the oven to 350 °F (170 °C).
  • Melt the Chocolats Favoris S’mores Fondue according to the packaging instructions. Stir the fondue until smooth. Set aside.
  • Generously butter a 9-inch (23 cm) cast iron skillet. If you don’t have a cast iron skillet, you can also use a 9-in (23 cm) round cake pan.

  • In a large bowl, beat the brown sugar and butter until the mixture is pale and light. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then incorporate the vanilla extract and the Chocolats Favoris S’mores Fondue.
  • In a second bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Transfer to the bowl with the wet ingredient and mix together with a spatula. Mix in 1 cup (250 ml) of the Chocolats Favoris Original Dark Chocolate Drops.
  • Spread the cookie dough in the prepared skillet. Sprinkle the remaining Chocolats Favoris Original Dark Chocolate Drops over the dough. Bake for 35 minutes, or until the cookie is puffed up and set. Let cool for 10 minutes (the cookie will deflate as it cools). Enjoy topped with ice cream, straight from the skillet. You can also unmold the cookie and cut into slices before serving.
  • Notes:
  • You can substitute any Chocolats Favoris fondue flavor in this recipe.
  • If you don’t have Original Dark Chocolate Drops on hand, you can substitute any other Chocolats Favoris Chocolate Drops in this recipe: Original Milk, Dulce de Leche, or Dreamy White.
