Hot chocolate bar

DECOR IDEA

A hot chocolate bar is much more exciting than a bread bar. Here is THE hot chocolate bar to impress your guests. As a bonus, we suggest that you decorate the whole thing with downloadable streamers—simply perfect to give a festive touch to your décor.

Ingredients:

  • A 425 g can of Chocolats Favoris fondue of your choice (we recommend avoiding flavours with nuts or cookies to ensure your hot chocolate has the best possible texture.)
  • 1 can of Eagle Brand condensed milk
  • 6 cups of milk
  • 1½ teaspoons of vanilla (optional)
  • 1½ cup of whipped cream
  • Your choice of toppings: marshmallows, whipped cream, chocolate chips, candy canes, piroulines, cinnamon sticks, etc.

Directions:

Hot chocolate:

  • Boil the can of Chocolats Favoris fondue by following the directions.
  • During this time, pour the other ingredients (except the toppings) into a slow-cooker at low temperature for two hours.
  • When the fondue is ready, pour it into the slow cooker and mix it with the rest of the ingredients.
  • Maintain the temperature on LOW to keep everything warm without cooking the ingredients.
  • Place the slow cooker and a ladle on a table, so that your guests can serve themselves.

Table:

  • Set up a table to serve as a hot chocolate bar in such a way as to showcase your toppings and your decorations.
  • Invite your guests to make their own, personalized hot chocolates.

Chocolats Favoris tips

To decorate less-attractive condiment containers, choose two colours that will give your bar a great look and cover the containers with the coloured paper.

Vary the volumes by adding boxes or cake stands to create various levels on your table.

Decorate your table with things that you have readily available, like a ball of wool, cups, wooden spoons, etc. Your bar will be even more attractive!

Streamers:

Here are ribbons with the Chocolats Favoris motif on them that are pre-formatted to print from the comfort of your own home. You can’t go wrong!
